Donovan Smith Commits to Penn State

Gimme a four star lineman and a siren WHOOOOO!!!

The 2011 Penn State recruiting class is really picking up momentum now as Donovan Smith committed to the Nittany Lions at the Under Armor All Star game this afternoon. Lions 24/7 has the story.

"It looks like I'm going to be playing in State College," Smith said live during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday.

Smith is a massive offensive tackle that stands 6'7", and he only weighs 280 lbs so he's not just a fat kid that's good at pushing other fat kids around. He's lean and ready to put on some good weight. Rivals and Scout rank Smith as a four-star prospect while Lions 24/7 ranks him a three-star. His impressive offer list includes Michigan State, Syracuse, UCLA, UConn, NC State, Cincinnati, Clemson, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. Ultimately Smith listed UCLA and NC State in his final three along with the Nittany Lions.

Smith is Penn State's 12th verbal commitment for the class of 2011, and he is the fourth commitment from an offensive lineman joining Angelo Mangiro, Ryan Nowicki, and Anthony Alosi.

Here's what you've won. (Keep an eye on the mountain of a man wearing #75.)
