Success with Hyperlinking is Picking Up Steam

While we're still two years away from the completion of the Pegula Ice Arena, the Penn State ice hockey team has been on a recruiting tear. Yesterday, news broke that Taylor Holstrom will be transferring from Mercyhurst to Penn State. This is great news for the fledgling program as Holstrom put up 33 points for Mercyhurst as a true freshman, good enough for third on the team. Reading that article, it seems as if Holstrom is very excited to be coming to Penn State this fall.

The football team landed two players on Athlon's pre-season All Big Ten team. You probably could have guessed this, but they're Michael Mauti and Derek Moye.

Here is part 2 of Rich Scarcella's interview with JoePa. In this part of the interview, Joe discusses both Rob Bolden and Matt McGloin, though he doesn't hint at who will start this year.

GoPSUSports.com finished up their series introducing the women's volleyball recruits. The last two incoming freshman are Nia Grant and Micha Hancock. In the same vein, the volleyball team will be on the Big Ten Network a total of 7 times this fall, and will be on ESPN2 once. So be sure to tune in to watch the team go four an amazing 5th consecutive national championship.

Jay Paterno offers up some insight on Twitter. A hat tip goes out to InfamousOne for posting this in the Fan Shots on Sunday. Even if you aren't that thrilled with Jay as quarterbacks coach, I have a ton of respect for him as a person. He is very engaging on Twitter and I do enjoy reading his articles for StateCollege.com. Also in this article, one of our BSDivas gets a little recognition from Jay.

It looks like the 9 game conference schedule will be coming to the Big Ten in 2017. Purdue's athletic director said that he was told to "clear the calendar for 2017". The Big Ten will likely add in a fourth inter-division game, but will not add a second protected crossover game.
