Last week, I went 1-for-4 on picking DE, FB, punter and kicker. The kicker/punter situation was tough, but now it looks like Anthony Fera is going full-force pulling double triple duty, placekicking, punting and handling kickoffs. And I should have known better to predict the fullback spot for Mike Zordich. Offensive starters depend fully on what plays are being called, and which personnel best suits that play. But, I was quite pleased to see Sean Stanley starting opposite Jack Crawford. Not only did I accurately call that last week, but also, Stanley has proven to be very disruptive at times. I'm sure the defense is really hoping he can continue his upward climb toward becoming that featured rush end that's been severely lacking for more than two seasons now.

This week--as always depending on what offense the other team sends out on the first play--I'm looking for Stanley to start once again. But there are some big shake-ups on defense, to go along with the changes at running back last week.

And what, you actually thought because of the photo I was predicting McGloin would start this week? Honestly, it doesn't matter anymore. I'm convinced JoePa will never pick a starting quarterback as long as he's still coaching. Next year, it will be a five-way race between Bolden, McGloin, McGregor, Jones and Mornhinweg. I wonder if Penn State will petition the NCAA to add a fifth quarter to football games, just so all five quarterbacks can play a quarter each game.

Okay, enough snark.

With Brandon Beachum still likely out, Derek Day makes his first appearance on the depth chart. Until I see it, Stephfon Green remains off the chart. Also making his debut is freshman receiver Bill Belton. Curtis Drake is back after his rehab, which is nice to see since he is so versatile.

On defense, Nate Stupar moves up to start in place of Michael Mauti. And Chaz Powell takes over the primary corner spot for D'Anton Lynn. That moves him also into the nickel back role, and Stephon Morris up into the other starter position.

Anything else? Leave it in the comment thread.
