Tim Frazier Goes Down With Leg Injury Vs. Akron

Tim Frazier went down just 6 minutes into the Nittany Lions' contest with the Akron Zips on Sunday with an apparent ankle injury. He hobbled gingerly off the floor then went back into the lockerroom. He is out for the rest of the game, but the long-term diagnosis seems positive.

Dick Jerardi on the PSU radio broadcast called it a sprained left ankle, but clarified that they have not received an official diagnosis from PSU trainers. The ESPN broadcast team reported on the feed that PSU is calling it an achilles injury.

Whether he'll be ready for Bucknell on Black Friday remains highly questionable.

PSU is winning 36-32 over the Zips as DJ Newbill is having a coming out party in Frazier's absence (14 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 0 turnovers so far).
