#24 Ohio (8-1)

Beat Eastern Michigan (1-8) (45-18)

Ohio bounced back from the heartbreaking loss to Miami of Ohio to handle Eastern Michigan 45-18. The Bobcats opened up a 10-point halftime lead, scored 3 unanswered touchdowns and shut out the Eagles in the second half. Tyler Tettleton threw 3 touchdowns, Ryan Boykin ran for 128 yards and both Boykin and Beau Blankenship scored on the ground. Wide receiver Donte Foster caught 7 balls for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns. Now Ohio gets a tough game against Bowling Green Wednesday night.

Next up: Bowling Green (6-3) Nov. 7th

Virginia (3-6)

Beat North Carolina State (5-4) (33-6)

What's this?? Virginia won a game against a team with a pulse? Unlike every other Cavaliers game, Virginia forced 5 turnovers which is more than the previous 8 games combined. Quarterback Phillip Sims accounted for 2 touchdowns (1 running, 1 passing) and runningback Kevin Parks rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown. NC State's only touchdown came in garbage time late in the 4th quarter. Virginia doubled NC State's output (446 total yards to 216), and Wolfpack QB Mike Glennon threw 3 picks.

Next up: Miami (of the Florida variety) (5-4)

Navy (6-3)

Beat Florida Atlantic (2-6) (24-17)

Midshipmen QB Keenan Reynolds ran for 159 yards and threw for 147 including 3 touchdowns (2 rushing, 1 passing) to pace Navy to a 24-17 victory. FAU (not to be confused with FIU), jumped out to a 10 point lead midway through the 2nd quarter, but Navy scored 4 times including 3 touchdowns and then held on for the 7-point win. Since taking over the starting quarterback job 4 games ago, Reynolds has tossed 8 touchdowns and run for 4 more. Since losing to San Jose State, Navy had reeled off 5 wins to become bowl eligible.

Next up: Troy (4-5)

Temple (3-5)

Lost to #10 Louisville (9-0) (45-17)

Temple led Louisville in the 1st quarter and had a 17 all tie midway through the second but the Cardinals scored 4 unanswered touchdowns and shut out the Owls the rest of the way to remain undefeated. Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater threw for 325 yards and 5(!) touchdowns and runningback Jeremy Wright ran for 100 on only 10 yards for an amazing 10 yard average per rush and added a touchdown. Temple has not produced much offense or stopped anybody as of late, they have been outscored 127-44 in the last three games, all losses.

Next up: Cincinnati (6-2)

Illinois (2-7)

Lost to #8 Ohio State (10-0) (52-22)

When asked about the passing game Urban Meyer had this to say "We still have some weaknesses. We worked so hard to develop a passing game, and I can't say that we did it successfully, however. It's still a work in progress." While that may be true it's hard to argue with the outcome. Braxton Miller scored 3 touchdowns including 2 through the air while completing 12 of his 20 passes for 226 yards. He wasn't alone as running back Carlos Hyde rushed for 137 yards and 3 touchdowns as Ohio State pilled up 330 yards on the ground and 567 total. IlLOLnois kept it close early but the Buckeyes scored 4 times in the second quarter to take a 31-6 halftime lead and cruised in the second half. The Fighting [non-offensive mascots] only managed a scant 170 yards of total offense.

Next up: Minnesota (5-4)

Northwestern (7-2)

Bye
Next up: Michigan (6-3)

Iowa (4-5)

Lost to Indiana (4-5) (24-21)

If you have any friends that are Hawkeye fans, you should seriously consider putting them on suicide watch. Iowa fans are already talking about basketball and wrestling, it can't get much worse than a 3-point loss to Indiana. This was a sloppy game with both teams getting flagged for 14 penalties total and 4 turnovers. For as ugly as that sounds it was an interesting game, the lead changed hands 4 times. Iowa took a 21-17 lead early in the fourth but Indiana scored on a Cody Latimer 30-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Cameron Coffman with 10:58 to go. Iowa got the ball 3 more times but never made it past their half of the field.

Coffman completed 21 of his 33 passes for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns. All 3 touchdowns went to Latimer who led the team with 7 catches for 113 yards.

Next up: Purdue (3-6)

Ohio State(10-0)

Beat Illinois (2-7) (52-22)

Next up: Bye
