State of the Union: Big Ten Recruiting Update 3.6.12

The biggest changes of the past week in Big Ten recruiting were in State College and Champaign, where both the Nittany Lions and Illini picked up their first recruits for 2013.

The top three classes in the conference stayed the same, though Ohio State added to its numbers with another in-state recruit. The only other change in the B1G last week amongst schools who had already had verbals was in Madison, where the Badgers' first commit rescinded his verbal.

Michigan State's average rivals ranking is a bit skewed, with only one of their commits currently ranked. Scout and ESPN were intentionally omitted from this chart. Scout will be releasing revised rankings soon, and we will use those going forward. ESPN has not yet released their rankings for recruits in the 2013 class, nor their annual ESPN 150 list; as of now, players are on the watch list to be included in the top 150.

The lone addition for tOSU this week is touted Offensive Lineman Evan Lisle, who had offers from as far away as Alabama and Oklahoma before settling on his home state Buckeyes.

The big news for Wisconsin this week was the decommit of TE Scott Orndoff. While not entirely unexpected after the departure of much of the Wisconsin coaching staff for Pitt, the news was disappointing for the Badgers.
