The Tale

Bradshaw visited Penn State about three weeks ago with his father, and really loved what he saw. He met with Coaches O'Brien, Roof, and Johnson, as well as Craig Fitzgerald, with whom the Bradshaws were familiar, since South Carolina had been heavily recruiting Bradshaw for some time. Unfortunately, he did not have the chance to meet with Coach Vanderlinden, who will be his position coach. Bradshaw was back on campus this weekend with the specific intent of meeting with Vandy. And apparently to commit to the Nittany Lions, as well.

Outlook

A pure "athlete" as the word is used in recruiting circles, this young man was being recruited to play a whole host of different positions by different schools. As you can tell from his film, where he appears to line up at all 22 positions in varying clips, he is a quick, versatile athlete that can cover a lot of ground well, either offensively or defensively.

He's targeted as an OLB at Penn State, a ballhawk that can cover ground to the opposite side of the field to track down a play. Like most 17-year old recruits, he'll need to bulk up a bit to fit into that role, but that's not a concern. This young man will grow into his frame, and should be a quality addition to Vandy's linebacking crew.

Additionally, Bradshaw is the type of guy that many would call a "Penn State man." He recently returned from a mission trip in Honduras, values the role of academics in his choice of schools, and has said that community and team fit are very important to him. Sounds like Penn State picked up a good one.

Welcome to Penn State, Zach!
