Ben Kline comes into the 2012 season with a pretty good spring game under his belt, where the redshirt freshman forced an interception off the offense.
Kline may not see a lot of time this year in non-mop-up duty, as there is a dearth of talented upperclassmen ahead of him on the depth chart, but will provide much needed talented backup in the front seven.
A member of the 2010 recruiting class, Kline switched his commitment from Pitt to the Nittany Lions after the Panthers fired then-head coach Dave Wannstedt. He was named York-Adams League Division I Player-of-the-Year his senior year in high school, when he led his Dallastown team to the division title as a linebacker, running back, and part time receiver.
