Got a culture problem? I do. I also have a running problem....

and by that I mean I convinced myself that attempting the 26.2 mile Philadelphia Marathon was a worthy endeavor this November. But I don't want to stop there, I want to use this race as an opportunity to do something great for the community and what could be more appropriate than raising money for RAINN?

If you recall, Proud Penn Staters for RAINN raised around $500k in just about a month last year. I know of no other community that has the capability to make such a large and positive impact so fast. So with that in mind, I created Running for RAINN.

Running for RAINN is a group of Penn Staters, fans, friends and/or Philadelphians that are participating in the marathon events (full/half/8k) and wish to raise awareness for and prevent abuse. Our goal is to raise $500 for RAINN by the end of November. Currently, we have a few participants, but we're looking for more people to join in. If you want to get involved, get in touch with me (post a comment here or msg me on Twitter @ArtieFufkin10) and I'll add you as a participant.

What will this all amount to? Besides raising money for a great cause, perhaps we'll get together in Philly for drinks after the races provided our legs still work. And if running isn't your thing, that's cool, but please help us out by donating and spreading the word!

So what say you? Lets make it RAINN. We Are.....
