Black Shoe Podcast - Penn State vs. Ohio State - Episode 1.9

Thank goodness for the Bye Week, because every Penn Stater needed a week off in order to digest and fully appreciate the 4OT thriller against Michigan two Saturdays ago. Adam, Cari, and Dan are back, rested, and ready to chat about Homecoming, defeating the Wolverines, the BSD Tailgate, and the atmosphere at the stadium. Then, the three BSDers look ahead to this week's game against the border state rival Ohio State Buckeyes, this week on the #BlackShoePodcast.

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Penn State had its biggest home game of the year two weeks ago, and now we're back on the #BlackShoePodcast, as the Nittany Lions travel one state west to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes!

In BSP episode nine, the band is back together! Cari returns to the show and joins Dan Vecellio and I on Blog Talk Radio to discuss all of the storylines leading into this Saturday's 8 PM prime time kickoff! Some fun things to take note of:

  • #TROUBLE - Cari's back with her regularly scheduled swearing. Need I say more?

  • The atmosphere in Beaver Stadium for Homecoming was remarkable. Where does it fall in the pantheon of great Penn State crowds?

  • Did we see Christian Hackenberg's coming of age moment against Michigan? What does that portend for the rest of the year?

  • Has Bill Belton taken Zach Zwinak's starting tailback job? And what about Akeel Lynch?

  • How 'bout those new recruits, right?

  • Cari, Dan and I preview and make our "official" predictions for this weekend's game against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions are 14.5 point underdogs. What does Penn State have to do to win this weekend?
All that and more on this episode of the #BlackShoePodcast!
