Not much news was expected this signing day around the conference, as most schools were out of the running for the biggest non-committed 2013 recruits before this week. Check out the last of our 2013 charts last week; not much has changed in the final days, with Ohio State eking out the top class in the conference (over rival Michigan, who was tops for the majority of the year). Nebraska is a general consensus distant third, and much of the rest of the conference is grouped after.
Illinois
Total commits in the 2013 class: 25
Last minute additions: Paul James (a 3* DE from Miami, FL)
Last minute subtractions: LB Reggie Spearman flipped to Iowa the night before signing day, having been committed to the Illini since August.
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Aaron Bailey, an in-state (Bolingbrook, IL), consensus 4* QB who picked the Illini last April over offers from, amongst others, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
Biggest surprise of the year: The size of this class, which is technically over the allowed-25 scholarships. Such is the mantra of Tim Beckman.
For more information: SBN has an Illinois blog again! Check out the Champaign Room for your Illini recruiting needs.
Indiana
Total commits in the 2013 class: 22
Last minute additions: Daryl Chesnut (a 3* RB from Miami); Chris Cormier (a NR JuCo DT from Arizona Western); Laray Smith (a 3* RB from Brooklyn); Maurice Swain (a 3* OL from LaGrange, GA)
Last minute subtractions: DB Nigel Tribune, who just committed to the Hoosiers at the end of last month, flipped on signing day to the Iowa State Cyclones.
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Darius Latham, a DT from Indianapolis and consensus 4* who chose the Hoosiers over Thanksgiving weekend over offers from half of the SEC and Big Ten, including Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and OSU.
Biggest surprise of the year: The slow start and strong finish for Indiana, who was the last school in the conference to get a commitment for this class.
For more information: For more full coverage on the Hoosiers' 2013 class, check out Crimson Quarry's coverage.
Iowa
Total commits in the 2013 class: 22
Last minute additions: Josey Jewell (a 2* LB from Decorah, IA); Jonathan Parker (a 2* RB from St Louis, MO); Reggie Spearman (a 3* LB from Chicago); Akrum Wadley (a 2* RB from Newark, NJ)
Last minute subtractions: none
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Jon Wisnieski, a 3* (4* if you're ESPN) TE from West Des Moines who picked the Hawkeyes over Nebraska, the Fighting Bill Snyders and Ole Miss.
Biggest surprise of the year: The lack of OMGSTARZ isn't much of a surprise; Iowa's long been able to take relatively unheralded recruits and turn them into solid (and sometimes spectacular) football players. This year, though, I'm marveling at the fact that the Hawks got not one, not two, but THREE running backs to commit to play in Iowa City. DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING, GUYS? AIRBHG will not be appeased!

Michigan
Total commits in the 2013 class: 27
Last minute additions: none
Last minute subtractions: none
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Derrick Green, a 5* RB from Richmond, VA, who picked the Wolverines over everyone under the entire fricking sun.
Biggest surprise of the year: The fact that they allowed Ohio State to actually get back in the game--Michigan had a strong recruiting class from the start, only to be upstaged near the end by their MHR.
For more information: If you want to stay in the SBNation family, check out Maize'N'Brew--they've got you covered. For even more Michigan info, head on over to MGoBlog, where Ace has recruiting coverage down to a science.
Michigan State
Total commits in the 2013 class: 18
Last minute additions: none
Last minute subtractions: none
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Damion Terry, a 4* QB from Erie who only held offers from three other schools when he committed to the Spartans last April.
Biggest surprise of the year: Michigan State was only able to snag one commit who held an offer from "Big Brother" (ugh) Michigan.
For more information: The guys who run The Only Colors are pretty awesome. Plus, it's green, which is the second best color for a sports team (behind blue, of course).
Minnesota
Total commits in the 2013 class: 19
Last minute additions: De'Vondre Campbell (a 3* JuCo LB from Hutchinson, KS); Donovahn Jones (a 3* athlete from Hampton, GA); Daletavius McGhee (a 2* DB from Ellenwood, GA); Nate Wozniak (a 3* TE from Greenwood, IN)
Last minute subtractions: none
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Berkley Edwards, a 3* RB from Chelsea, MI, who picked the Gophers over practically the entire MAC conference, and Iowa.
Biggest surprise of the year: Coach Jerry Kill's health issues, and the bit of off-field turmoil surrounding the departure of a WR at the end of last year, don't seem to have derailed recruiting, as the Golden Gophers hauled in a decent class.
For more information: For all of your Minnesota needs, check out the Daily Gopher's coverage of signing day.
Nebraska
Total commits in the 2013 class: 25
Last minute additions: Dwayne Johnson (a 3* OT from Bellaire, TX); Chongo Kongolo (a 3* OL from Fresno, CA); Drake Martinez (a 3* athlete from Laguna Beach, CA); Dimarya Mixon (a 3* DE from Mesquite, TX)
Last minute subtractions: Tre'vell Dixon, a 4* Ath who flipped to Arizona State this week.
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Randy Gregory, a 4* DE JuCo transfer who will look for playing time right away, and picked Nebraska over Oklahoma, UCLA, Arkansas and Oregon State.
Biggest surprise of the year: The number of decommits across this class can't have Bo Pelini too happy.
For more information: CornNation has all of your Cornhusker recruiting (and other) needs covered.
Northwestern
Total commits in the 2013 class: 19
Last minute additions: none
Last minute subtractions: none
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Matt Alviti, a 4* QB from Park Ridge, IL, who picked the Wildcats over half of the conference (and Notre Dame).
Biggest surprise of the year: The widespread nature of this class, which hails from coast to coast and north to south.
For more information: Some of their community might not have been the most cordial after their loss to the Nittany Lions this past year, but Sippin' on Purple should have some good coverage of Northwestern. If you're into that sort of thing.
Ohio State
Total commits in the 2013 class: 26
Last minute additions: Vonn Bell (a 5* DB from Rossville, GA); Corey Smith (a 4* WR from Scooba, MS); Dontre Wilson (a 4* RB from DeSoto, TX)
Last minute subtractions: Taivon Jacobs, a 3* Athlete from District Heights, MD, who spurned the Buckeyes on signing day for Maryland.
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Bell, who many considered a Tennessee lean before signing day. He picked OSU over offers from ten SEC schools, plus Notre Dame, Nebraska and Texas.
Biggest surprise of the year: For much of the year, this looked to be Michigan's year. But the Urban Meyer effect happened, and the Buckeyes ended up with a better class than their rival, according to most services.
For more information: It feels almost dirty to say this, but Luke Zimmermann is doing work over at Land Grand Holy Land (don't miss u, ATO).
Purdue
Total commits in the 2013 class: 24
Last minute additions: Keith Byars III (a NR RB from New Berlin, NY); Dalyn Dawkins (a 3* RB from Louisville); Da'Wan Hunte (a 3* DB from Miami); Evan Panfil (a 3* DE from New Lenox, IL who was, until recently, an Illinois commit)
Last minute subtractions: none (though some accounts have LB Garrett Hudson taking a grey shirt, and becoming part of the 2014 class under a deferred scholarship)
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Danny Etling, a 4* QB from Terre Haute, IN, who only held a handful of offers before committing to the Boilers last April.
Biggest surprise of the year: How well new head coach Darrell Hazell has been able to adjust to a BCS conference and recruiting. Purdue's class really turned around once Hazell entered the picture from Kent State, especially in the past few weeks.
For more information: Hammer and Rails, SBN's Purdue blog, is actually quite good and gets two thumbs up from me.
Wisconsin
Total commits in the 2013 class: 21
Last minute additions: Tanner McEvoy (a 3* JuCo QB from Yuma, AZ); Donnell Vercher (a 3* JuCo DB from Fresno, CA)
Last minute subtractions: Marcus Ball, a 3* athlete from Westerville, OH, who signed with Arizona State on signing day.
Top recruit of the 2013 class: Corey Clement, a 4* RB from Glassboro, NJ, who held offers from most of the Northeast football schools, including Penn State.
Biggest surprise of the year: The fact that this class didn't completely fall apart after the departure of Bert was, frankly, astounding.
For more information: I hated Bielema. I still like Alvarez. I am, thus, okay again in supporting Bucky's Fifth Quarter now that there's a new coach in town.
