National Signing Day 2013: Welcome to Penn State, Zayd Issah

After some mid-season thought, Zayd Issah makes his commitment to Penn State official.

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Today's commitment marks the third time that Issah told Penn State that they were the team for him and Nittany Lion fans should be glad to have him. After initially verballing to BOB and staff in June, Issah decided to look into his options after the NCAA handed down their sanctions in July. He never counted Penn State out, though, and in December, he decided to once again choose Penn State as the place he'll live out his college years and play his college football.

Issah has played running back and been to camps as a wide receiver, but is slated to play outside linebacker at Penn State. With Michael Mauti and Gerald Hodges graduated and others running out of eligibility after the 2013 season, Issah has a chance to make a name for himself at Linebacker U sooner rather than later.
