Former Penn State defensive lineman Anthony Adams retired from the NFL in grand fashion on youtube this past weekend. Perhaps he could try to walk-on to the hoops team? His story at practice with Joe Paterno is still one of my all-time favorites. We wish Anthony Adams luck in his life after football, which will reportedly feature an MBA from George Washington U.
B1G Hoops Gone Wild - Suddenly Pat Chambers moves up another rung on the Big Ten tenure ladder as Minnesota parted ways with Tubby Smith yesterday. It's a move that seems eerily similar to their removal of Glen Mason as football coach. How much better does Minnesota think their program can get? The new MN AD appears to be connected with plenty of quality candidates, but his hire will be the first big mark of his tenure. The Daily Gopher has your first big board of potential candidates for the Gophers.
Northwestern Coaching Search - It's been almost two weeks since Bill Carmody was canned, but Northwestern is progressing in their coaching search. Duke assistant Chris Collins continues to the be the front-runner and will interview this week. A few PA coaches in La Salle's Dr. John Giannini and Bucknell's Dave Paulsen appear to be in the mix as well.
Rasslin' - Plenty of awesome interviews out there of the 3-peat champs. Impossible to not take great pride in the program Cael built. I've had the pleasure of talking to Quentin Wright a few times and he's the most genuinely humble guy I've ever met. Also, Flo of course has an awesome NCAA finals highlight video that is worth watching, at least until that freeze frame of Dake's ugly-ass mug .
Dunk City, FLA - Footage of Florida Gulf Coast this past weekend never gets old. David Jones was on hand for their performance in Philly and had a remarkable feature on this year's Cinderella. Fort Myers has relocated as Dunk City.
