Success With Hyperlinking Is Praising Yeezus

CAN'T TELL ME NOTHING

Al Bello

As BSD's resident rap "expert" (NOTE: The quotation marks are because I bestowed that title unto myself), I'm freaking out over Kanye releasing his new album Yeezus in a week. So, anybody else up for a Kanye-themed version of SWH?

Monster -- We have established that Ed Ruth is not human. As any PSU women's soccer fan will tell you, neither is current Seattle Reign and #USWNT midfielder Christine Nairn. Both of them are being honored for their kickass-ness by being named Penn State's Male and Female Athlete of the Year for the 2012-13 school year. From all of us at BSD, congrats to both of them, and to Nairn: tell your teammate Hope Solo that I love her.

I Am A God -- This is about Bill O'Brien. Duh. BoB continued to #DoWork this past week, as he went to a Maryland high school and gave the school's graduation address about being a good leader. Two things: one, here's the transcript. Two: Students at Walt Whitman High School in in Bethesda, Maryland had a cooler graduation speaker than you did.

Gone -- Coaching a PSU sport involving batting, pitching and fielding has led to bad times recently. Baseball manager Robbie Wine, who is best known for not being a good baseball player or coach, is probably done. Softball manager Robin Petrini, who wasn't a bad manager and kinda looks like Pia Sundhage, resigned from the team. Even though Wine's not technically gone (let's face it, the writing is on the wall), we'd like to WWE them and wish both of them the best in their future endeavors.

The Glory -- In happier Penn State baseball news (kinda), Penn State's Club Baseball team won the won the Club Baseball National Championship by going H.A.M. on James Madison, 12-5.Their last loss was in mid-April. Like Gene Parmesan, they're the best. Too bad my beloved Quidditch team's season didn't end as successfully.

Champion -- The Special Olympics were at PSU this past weekend. One local competitor won seven silver medals, some shared their memories on past Special Olympics at PSU and if you want to get blocked, making fun of the Special Olympics in the comment section is a great way to do it!

Last Call -- The Phillies and Pirates are both doing THON games this season...Don't get your hopes up...Penn State Hershey Children's Center is awesome...SCIENCE!...MORE SCIENCE!...Here are the top 15 players in NCAA '14 (sadly, no Nittany Lions)...You're not gonna believe this, but ESPN had WAY too much fun with the Pats getting Tebow...Drew Magary did as well, only I like him so it's cool...Alex Jones is the worst...Jurgen Klinsmann is the best.
