Only Angelo Mangiro Until Penn State Football

Mike Pettigano

Angelo Mangiro was part of the 2011 recruiting class, Joe Paterno's last class at Penn State, and he was one of the first of that class to commit to the Nittany Lions. One of the top prospects out of New Jersey that year, Mangiro was an all-state selection that redshirted his freshman year in Happy Valley.

Though he didn't see significant time in his redshirt freshman season, Mangiro is pushing very hard for playing time this fall, reportedly taking multiple reps with the first team throughout spring practice. He's a versatile player that O-line coach Mac McWhorter will likely try to find a place for, either at Center or Tackle.
