Only Brett Brackett Until Penn State Football

Mike Pettigano

Perthe spring roster, no Nittany Lion is wearing #83 for the 2013 season as of yet, so we have to take a look back in the not-so-distant archives.

Brett Brackett originally came to Penn State as a quarterback, but with the multitude of talent that the position became stocked with during his time with the Lions, he was converted into a hybrid tight end/wide receiver and made a large impact catching the ball instead of throwing it during his time at Penn State, especially during 2010. He became the safety blanket for Rob Bolden during Bolden's freshman year, catching 39 passes for 525 yards and five touchdowns.

Brackett was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent out of college and after bouncing around from team to team, landed in Jacksonville where he spent last season on injured reserve. Hopefully, we'll see big things from him in the pros starting this year.
