Zayd Issah Charged With Aggravated Assault, Four Other Counts

It's the incoming recruit's second run-in with the law this year.

Rob Carr

According to dockets filed in Centre County Court this morning, Zayd Issah has been charged with felony aggravated assault along with three counts of resisting arrest and a count of marijuana possession stemming from an incident last night in State College. Issah was arraigned early this morning, was not able to post $20,000 bail and was transported to Centre County Jail.

Issah's preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Many of you probably remember the felony counterfeiting charges Issah was slapped with in March after passing off fake bills at a Harrisburg McDonald's. After discussions with the coaching staff, it was decided that Issah would attend a prep school for at least a semester before enrolling at Penn State to prove that he should be afforded the opportunity of joining the team. That opportunity has almost certainly been squandered after today's news, though.

It looks like his time as a Nittany Lion are over before they even started.
