Media Tabs Penn State To Finish Third In Leaders Division

Ohio State sweeps conferences honors from the Big Ten media.

Members of the Big Ten press cast their votes on who would take top honors this year in the conference ahead of its media days this week and, as to be expected, Ohio State swept honors in both the team and player categories.

The Buckeyes earned 26 of 27 first-place votes for the Leaders division with Wisconsin gaining the other. The Nittany Lions ranked behind those two teams in the overall divisional poll. In the Legends division, voters were split on Nebraska and Michigan as that side's champion.

When it came to the conference championship, 25 of 26 votes were cast for Ohio State to beat either Nebraska, Michigan or Michigan State. A lone voter sees the Wolverines taking down the Scarlet and Grey. All tallies can be found below:

Player-wise, Braxton Miller was tabbed as preseason Offensive Player of the Year while his teammate Ryan Shazier won preseason honors for the defensive side of the ball.
