The Irish Times Seemingly Confirms Penn State-UCF Matchup

Ireland, we're coming.

LOCOG

In this morning's Irish Times, next year's "fixture" between Penn State and the University of Central Florida was seemingly confirmed with Croke Park, as expected, ending up as the recipient host of the game between the two American universities. UCF officials toured the facilities at Croke Park back in May as it became apparent that another matchup at Lansdowne Park, where Notre Dame and Navy played in 2012, was not in the cards.

A tweet yesterday from BWI writer Ryan Snyder also hinted at the fact that the game may become official soon.

With everything seemingly in place for this overseas game, you can start breaking out the piggy banks for flights across the pond. A quick Expedia search shows that a Newark --> Dublin roundtrip flight costs only $658. Not bad to watch your Nittany Lions in a one-in-a-lifetime event.

UPDATE: Onward State says that an official release is planned for July 14th and that the school is looking into affordable travel plans for those interested in attending. Also, GUINNESS TOUR! #drunj
