Stephfon Green came to Penn State an underrated recruit out of Joe Paterno's native Brooklyn. A perennial backup (first to Evan Royster, then to Silas Redd), Green nevertheless provided depth and a nice change of pace, mirrored with good pass protection if no "zu zu".
Green redshirted his first year in Happy Valley, 2007, and then only missed seeing time in a handful of games over the next four seasons, due to injury. He was briefly suspended from the team before his final season after providing alcohol to underage teammates, but was respected and beloved so much by his fellow football players that they rallied and went to Coach Paterno's home, eventually convincing the coach to reinstate the senior.
After leaving PSU, Green spent the summer of 2012 on the Lions' squad after being signed as an UDFA, but ultimately was cut for good in September 2012. He's currently playing football in Canada for the CFL, signing on to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in November of last year.
