Only Tony Hunt Until Penn State Football

Tony Hunt came to Penn State by way of TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA, a high school that used to boast as its head coach one Larry Johnson Senior. He played multiple positions as a high-schooler before being recruited as a running back; he actually had committed to USC before signing with Penn State.

Once at PSU, he sat behind Austin Scott at first before Scott's butterfingers and off-field issues, as well as Hunt's hard work and blocking ability, allowed Hunt the starting spot. Hunt went on to be one of a handful of Nittany Lions with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, and ended his Penn State career at #2 on the all-time rush list (before being surpassed by his successor at the position, Evan Royster).

Hunt was drafted in the third round by the Philadelphia Eagles, but his NFL career never really materialized; our friends over at Bleeding Green Nation even considered him one of the Eagles' 10 biggest draft busts. He then spent some time playing football in Europe before hanging up his cleats and retiring back to northern Virginia.
