Only Ryan Keiser Until Penn State Football

Rob Carr

Ryan Keiser came to Happy Valley a three-sport star from Selinsgrove, PA, having played in the Big 33 Classic for Pennsylvania and spent time as both a wide receiver and safety.

A walk-on defensive back granted a scholarship by coach O'Brien before the season began last year, Keiser provided depth in a severely depleted secondary. Seeing time in all twelve games as a RS Sophomore, he only logged quantifiable stats in three, but was a key part of the offense--as the holder for kicker Sam Ficken through much of the season.

Keiser was all-Academic Big Ten last year, and will once again provide key depth and special teams contributions. Currently, he's second on the depth chart behind Senior Malcolm Willis, and will likely see increased time and be a part of the steady rotation of defensive backs this season.
