Penn State Depth Chart and Injury Report: UCF Edition

Not much new to report on the injury front, but will Penn State be without a key contributor tomorrow? (Probably not, no.)

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Here's the good news: Mike Hull isn't just probable, he'll play. You'll remember that the linebacker suffered a knee injury in the opener against Syracuse, and after a brief return to the game, missed most of the second half and all of last week's tilt with Eastern Michigan. More good news: Ben Kline, Penn State's probative fourth linebacker even in Hull's absence (with Stephen Obeng-Agyapong sliding down to a hybrid position in his stead) is also going to be in uniform tomorrow night after also missing the EMU game. And Nyeem Wartman, who did play last week, is also a go--and if you're wondering why that's news, he apparently has been dealing with shoulder problems since the opener. So Penn State's depth at LB, razor thin to start the year, is back to full strength.

The less good news: Bill Belton is dealing with an undisclosed injury. He's probable, but coming off a 9-carry, 108-yard outburst last week, missing some practice time won't help him carry that momentum forward. But he impressed so much, as did Akeel Lynch in his first extended look, that the three-headed rush attack is now formalized. Adam Gress, who's been chasing Garry Gilliam for the right tackle position, is banged up, but will play, and will compete for the starting job. Lastly, safety/holder Ryan Keiser, who missed the second half last week, is questionable for tomorrow's game.

Remaining out indefinitely or for the season are TE Matt Lehman (who this week underwent successful knee surgery to repair a torn ACL), DE Brad Bars, WE DaeSean Hamilton, and TE Brent Wilkerson. Out for this week are OL Evan Galimberti and WR DeShawn Baker

On to the depth chart, where you'll notice some changes if you squint really hard:
