Christian Hackenberg Named Big Ten Freshman Of The Week

For the second time in three weeks, Christian Hackenberg was honored by the Big Ten as its Freshman Player of the Week after his performance in a losing effort to Central Florida on Saturday. Hackenberg threw for 262 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. It's the quarterback's second conference honor after winning the award for the Syracuse game.

On the season, Hackenberg is 66-for-92 for 851 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.

Defensive: Ryan Shazier, Ohio State

Special Teams: Justin DuVernois, Illinois
