Larry Johnson to Seek Interview for Head Coaching Job

The defensive line coach, who has been at Penn State since 1996 and who earlier this week was named interim head coach following the departure of Bill O'Brien, told incoming recruits today that he will apply and interview for the permanent position, according to reports. At his press conference earlier today, David Joyner praised the leadership of the 61-year old Johnson and said that should he apply for the head coaching vacancy, he would be considered.
