DaeSean Hamilton, the Big Ten leader in receptions per game in 2014 and previous one-time recipient of the Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award, added a second Big Ten rookie honor to his trophy case after a record-breaking performance this weekend against Ohio State.
Hamilton, a redshirt freshman from Virginia, set the new Penn State mark in receptions in a game with 14 catches going for 126 yards in a heartbreaking, double-overtime loss. Saturday's game marked Hamilton's fourth 100-yard receiving game of the year. Over the team's first seven games, Hamilton leads the Nittany Lions in both receptions (57) and receiving yards (686).
Congrats, DaeSean!
