Committany Nation: High School All-Star Game Info and Updating Twitter Feed

Penn State commits and targets are in action this week. Find out where.

Penn State recruits are targets are going to be busy this week at various camps, showcasing their talents for everyone to see. Throughout the week, watch my twitter timeline (@TheRealNPolak) and Matt's timeline (@PSUMatt2005) for videos, pictures, and more for news on our future Nittany Lions. For now though, let's run down who is where, and what you need to know.

The Under Armour All-America Game

Game Information:

Date: Friday, January 2, 2015

Time: 4:00 PM (ESPN)

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Penn State Commits in Action:

OT Sterling Jenkins (Pittsburgh, PA)

OT Ryan Bates (Warminster, PA)

CB Garrett Taylor (Richmond, VA)

Penn State Target in Action:

DT Christian Wilkins (Suffield, CT)

Notes:

It will be interesting to watch Jenkins and Bates go up against some of the top notch defensive linemen in attendance. Jenkins in particular, as it will be interesting to see how he handles match-ups with some of the most sought-after pass rushing talent in the country. Check out Sterling's interview with Sean Fitz about the upcoming week. Christian Wilkins is one who could possibly commit during the week's festivities, although it wouldn't jive with his style thus far. Penn State is still looking good in his recruitment, however, even if he doesn't end up pulling the trigger this weekend.

When the game rolls around, all three Penn State commits have been placed on Team Armour (Black). Wilkins will play for Team Highlight (White).

The U.S. Army All-American Game

Game Information:

Date: Saturday, January 3, 2015

Time: 1:00 PM (NBC)

Location: San Antonio, TX

Penn State Commits in Action:

WR Juwan Johnson (Glassboro, NJ)

CB John Reid (Philadelphia, PA)

Notes:

Unfortunately, Johnson will be the only Penn State commit in action in San Antonio, due to John Reid's injury. Still though, he'll have a chance to really show off his Calvin Johnson-like build against some of the country's top defensive backs. This is also a good game to tune in to if you want to get a sense of what the future at Ohio State would look like. The Buckeyes will have seven commits in action at the game, including LB's Justin Hillaird and Jerome Baker, DE Dre'Mont Jomes, ATH Torrence Gibson, OL Matthew Burrell, RB Mike Weber, and LS (yes, long snapper) Liam McCullough.

The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl

Game Information:

Date: Sunday, January 4, 2015

Time: 9:00 PM (Fox Sports 1)

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Penn State Commit in Action:

DB Ayron Monroe (Washington, DC)

Penn State Targets in Action:

OT Grant Newsome (Lawrenceville, NJ)

CB Jordan Whitehead (Monaca, PA)

Notes:

Ayron Monroe is a very underrated piece of this Penn State recruiting class, and it's going to be fun to see him get a chance to go up against some top high school talent. Both of the Penn State targets in attendance are committed elsewhere, but we'll continue to talk about them until the staff stops recruiting them. Newsome will surely have a lot on his mind with Harbaugh coming into the picture at Michigan, as will Whitehead as Pitt sorts out their coaching situation. Both kids would still be extremely difficult pulls for Penn State, but Franklin will be watching this game, and will continue to recruit them with everything he's got.

This article is also going to serve as a live feed, of sorts, of Penn State commits and targets in action. It will be continually updated, so keep checking back.
