Oh, Hello: CT WR/S Jarvis Miller Commits to Penn State

Rev up the recruiting engines boys and girls. 2015 here we come.

The Tale:

Jarvis becomes the first commitment of the 2015 class, and one of three today following Penn State's Junior Day. Miller was offered during the day by Coach Franklin, and felt like he had seen enough to make the call. Penn State was Miller's only offer to this point, but was also receiving interest from UMass and UConn (which makes sense given his CT location). From his tweets you can clearly tell that he is very excited to become the first 2015 commit for James Franklin and the staff.

Outlook:

Jarvis is a stud high school player. According to his Maxpreps page, he rushed for 1,611 yards this past season, as well as racking up 81 tackles, three passes defended, and an interception. He is listed as wide receiver and a safety on 247Sports, but seems destined to fill the role of safety at Penn State.

He has good size already, standing at 6'2", and has room to add on more weight once he gets up to State College. He seems like he will fit right in with the type of recruits Franklin has brought in so far, and is very welcomed addition to the Penn State family.
