Well - this is it. On Sunday at 2pmET, for the last time ever, David Taylor and Ed Ruth will be wearing a Penn State singlet in a Rec Hall match.

....
I told myself I wasn't going to cry. J to the P will be rolling out tributes to the 4th and 5th year seniors. All I can manage is thank you, to Seth Beitz, Cameron Kelly, Kyle Moran, Jim English, Rath of Voll, Magic Man, and So Fresh, So Clean. What an incredible run.
125 LBS
#2 Nico Megaludis vs. FR Hunter Jones (Wyoming Seminary)
Jones was majored by Okie State's Klimara last Friday.
Line: Nico by tech (PSU 5-0)
133 LBS - Match Of The Meet #1
#16 Jimmy Gulibon vs. JR Sam Sherlock (West Mifflin)
Welcome back, Sam. The last time Sam was in Rec Hall for a dual, he wore a PSU singlet, and got majored by Minnesota's Chris Dardanes, if memory serves me (and be warned - it often doesn't). Sam was better than that result back then, and he's better than that result now. Like Jimmy, he's right on the edge of a top 20 rank (#30 Coaches, #25 RPI), and a possible seed at NCAAs (though, he's on the opposite side of that edge at the moment). I think Jimmy gets the job done here.
Line: Jimmy by dec (PSU 8-0)
141 LBS
#2 Zain Retherford vs. SR Tyler Bedelyon (Lewistown)
How can you cheer against a kid from Lewistown? When he's wrestling Zain. But that's about it. Bedelyon is tough, and just missed beating Okie State's Collica last week, 10-12.
Line: Zpain by dec (PSU 11-0)
149 LBS - Match of the Meet #2
SR Jim English OR #16 Zack Beitz vs. FR #25 Justin Arthur (Huntingdon, WV)
Arthur is having one heck of a freshman campaign. He's #25 in the Coaches' Poll, and holds the #17 RPI. He's long and lean, like Beatz.
Jim's putting the bow on a 6-year wrestling career, and, I believe, a Masters in Enery, Business, and Finance, after knocking out his undergrad degree in Chem E. (freaking Chem E!!). Chem E, folks.
Line: English by dec (PSU 14-0)
157 LBS - Match of the Meet #3
SR Jim Vollrath OR #11 Dylan Alton vs. FR #24 Austin Matthews (Reynolds)
Matthews has a PIAA Gold in his back pocket, and he's having an awesome true freshman season. He looks like a future All-American for Troy Letters.
Rath of Voll? He's probably the best athlete on the team. He looks like a freak out there at times - strong, fast. The guy placed 7th at Big Tens as a frosh, wrestling up a weight at 165.
Line: Jim by dec (PSU 17-0)
165 LBS
#1 David Taylor vs. FR Michael Pavasko (Steel Valley)
It's David Taylor.
Line: Magic Man by Fall (PSU 23-0)
174 LBS
#5 Matt Brown vs. JR Ryan Darch (Batavia, NY)
Don't worry about Hulk Hands. He's doing exactly what he needs to do to win a title.
Line: Hulk Hands by major (PSU 27-0)
184 LBS
#1 Ed Ruth vs. FR Dustin Conti (Jefferson-Morgan)
It's Ed Ruth.
Line: So Fresh, So Clean by Fall (PSU 33-0)
197 LBS
#3 Morgan McIntosh vs. SR Brandon Contreras (Rochester, NY)
Morg has been lighting up the scoreboard all year long, but even moreso since he took the wrap off his right elbow.
Line: Morg by major (PSU 37-0)
285 LBS
#12 Jimmy Lawson vs. FR Evan Daley (Fort LeBoeuf)
Law Dog is back from his knee injury this week. Let's hope he's back to normal, because Jimmy was looking awesome before the McMullen match.
Line: Law Dog by dec (PSU 40-0)
Thank you, seniors. Congratulations.
