National Signing Day 2014: Welcome to Penn State, Antoine White

As a primer to signing day, we'll profile the commits already in the fold before we get into those whose Letters of Intent come in on February 5.

Our newest defensive tackle will look to become the most famous athlete from Millville, NJ. Who needs Mike Trout?

Antoine White (Millville, NJ) enrolled at Penn State for the spring semester. Antoine committed back on July 1st, after being sold on Penn State by Larry Johnson. Enrolling early is going to allow Antoine even more time to learn the new defense, which should give him an even better shot an contributing on the field early. The Penn State defensive line is lacking depth right now, and White (along with Tarow Barney) will have as good a shot as anyone to earn a valuable spot in the line rotation. If you remember what I wrote in his Oh, Hello post, Antoine possess good pass rushing abilities, as he played both defensive end and defensive tackle in high school. He'll likely stay at tackle for the Nittany Lions, especially as he will bulk up in the weight room. He has good hand movement, and could end up reminding Penn State fans of Jordan Hill as a pass rushing tackle. Antoine is an extremely bright young man who is looking to major in business (but he almost picked elementary education like me!). He is a welcomed addition to the Penn State football family, and one of my favorite players to interview. Welcome to Penn State, Antoine!
