One of the six commits to follow Coach Franklin from Vanderbilt, Brosnan comes from Big Ten country and had been committed to the Commodores for almost six months before decommitting for the Nittany Lions sight unseen. The offensive lineman has since been to campus and was blown away by everything he saw, and looks to compete for a starting position right away.
Brosnan has a long frame and decent size with room to grow, and his length lends itself well to playing tackle. He was recruited both at Vanderbilt and PSU by Herb Hand and Ricky Rahne, so has built relationships with the staff he'll likely spend the most time with. With a significant portion of the line leaving this offseason, Brosnan has a decent shot of working himself into the offensive line rotation early on.
