I feel good about WR Brandon Polk being a big-time player at #PennState http://t.co/PZ2whnfiVu

It's a cycle PSU fans aren't used to: Great quarterback attracts WR recruits, who then attract QB recruits, who then attract BRANDON POLK!

A month after getting his offer from the Badgers (and only a few days after his second visit to Happy Valley), Polk somewhat surprisingly pulled the trigger, committing to Franklin and Co. He was a high school teammate of Class of '14 PSUer Trace McSorely, and with McSorely throwing to him had 36 passes for 549 yards and 5 touchdowns last year, getting him first team-all conference honors (all of this after missing the first four games of the 2013 season due to a broken foot).
Polk was invited to the US Army National Combine in January, where he clocked a 4.36 forty time. That's pretty fast.
Outlook:
Experts: Is slippery the correct adjective for Brandon Polk? Defenders don't appear capable of keeping him out of end zone.

Right after this past year's signing day, in his Class of 2015 primer, our own Nick Polak called Polk "small but lightning quick...He may end up being the type of player that has special plays designed to get the ball into his hands." That definitely looks to be the case from his evaluations and from film. Right now, he's of Moo-Moo size, but as a junior definitely has the time to bulk up into a prototypical slot receiver role.
Because of his size and the influx of wide receivers on the team, according to Nick today, "Polk could be destined for a redshirt...However, his kickoff ability could earn him early playing time on special teams, and thanks to that he may get some time on offense as well."
As Nick astutely *said in emails to BSD staff, "Brandon Polk is a mini Tavon Austin/Brandin Cooks. Thompkins + Polk = Sex".
I'm no frat member, but I'm gonna go with that's a good thing.
*liberal use of astutely
Brandon brings Penn State's class to nine, five on offense, four on defense.
