Committany Nation: Penn State Recruiting Notes (04.26.14)

New, comments

Penn State targets and commits were in action this weekend.

Justin K. Aller

Adam McLean is the latest Nittany Lion to make his pledge to Coach Franklin and Penn State. The four star defensive tackle out of Bethesda, Maryland. He is the highest ranked commit to date, according to the 247Composite rankings. He made the call for the Nittany Lions on Saturday of Blue/White weekend, and has proven to be a valuable commodity for the Lions before even stepping on campus, as his commitment has had a large impact on other recruits such as DE Darius Fullwood and LB Kareem McDonald. He gave Bud Elliot of SB Nation Recruiting a great interview earlier today while at the NIKE camp in DC. Check it out.

Penn State's primary QB target, Brandon Wimbush, was also interviewed recently. While at the Washington DC Elite 11 camp, Wimbush opened up a bit about Ohio State and Penn State. Wimbush hails from Jersey City, NJ, and is ranked a four star recruit by the 247Composite rankings. Ohio State and Penn State seem to be neck and neck for the highly sought after recruit who plans to make a decision relatively soon. More on Wimbush from SB Nation Recruiting right here.

I'll have more to come on the Nike camp in regards to other Penn State commits and targets soon, so be sure to check back later on for more.
