No Penn State fan will soon forget the Nittany Lions dramatic Homecoming victory against Michigan in 2013. But in a contest so tight that four overtimes were necessary to declare a winner, a Penn State victory would have been an afterthought if not for the monster performance by C.J. Olaniyan. The rising senior (then junior) had the game of his life, complete with eight tackles, 2.5 sacks, two pass deflections and a forced fumble. Olaniyan would garner Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors for his incredible performance against the hated Wolverines.
Olaniyan is now a year wiser, stronger and more experienced and has his sights set high for 2014. He's gradually improved during his time in State College, and is now approaching his senior year with the opportunity to lead Penn State to yet another winning season while spotlighting his abilities for the NFL scouts who will be watching the defensive line very closely this fall.
