Perhaps one of the more under-appreciated linebackers in recent Penn State history, Tyrell Sales' career was capped off with an appearance in the 2009 Rose Bowl. The lone senior in a corps that had to replace a graduated Dan Connor and an injured Sean Lee, Sales finished third on the team in total tackles, just behind Josh Hull and some dude named Navorro.
Upon graduation, Sales bounced around professional football, starting off in the Colts' minicamp in 2009 and ending his career in Italy with the Parma Panthers of the FIDAF (5 BSD bucks to the commenter who can figure out that acronym without googling it). Currently, Tyrell is an assistant coach at Seneca Valley High School and putting his marketing degree (of course) to good use as the director of sports at Revolution Physical Therapy near Pittsburgh. The Tribune-Review recently published this update on Sales which is well worth your time.
46 days until Penn State football.
