Only Rocky Washington Until Penn State Football

It's now August, which means...we're in our final month!

Rocky Washington didn't play high school sports in Beaver Falls, PA, and actually spent a year at Penn State Beaver before transferring to University Park, and walking onto the football team after playing basketball for the commonwealth campus squad.

His first season in Happy Valley? None other than Joe Paterno's first official National Championship year.

Washington was a wide receiver/running back for the Nittany Lions, playing in limited time his first two seasons before logging comparatively significant minutes his senior year, 1984. After graduation, Washington was picked by USFL's Baltimore team, but his playing days were cut short due to injury.
