With 10 days until the Lions clash with the Knights on the gridiron, we highlight our own number 10, junior cornerback Trevor Williams.
Williams is one of 750 players on the roster from Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland. An excellent athlete, Williams began his career at wide receiver, catching 10 balls for 97 yards and even making the first start of his career against the Buckeyes of Ohio State. Williams transitioned to corner in 2013 after depth issues forced some roster movement, and he made the most of his opportunity, recording six starts and playing relatively well for a first time corner, before being supplanted by fellow Calvert Hall alum Adrian Amos, who moved back to corner after a stint at safety. This year, with Amos firmly planted at safety, Williams is the anticipated starter opposite Jordan Lucas. He'll attempt to fend off yet another Calvert Hall alum, Da'Quan Davis, for playing time.
Good luck this year, Trevor!
