Penn State Basketball: 2015 Big Ten Schedule Released

The Big Ten announced their full conference schedule this evening, dotting the i's and crossing the t's on Penn State's 2014-15 slate. The Nittany Lions will open conference play against the consensus preseason favorites for the second year in a row, this time at the Kohl Center against 2014 national semifinalists Wisconsin.

The addition of Rutgers and Maryland means there are now eight single-play opponents (full explanation of 2014-15 single-plays/schedule quirks here from Eric), and you'd have to say the away games (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State and Northwestern) are favorable.

The Nittany Lions won't have any prolonged road trips after the opening two games, one of which will be played *relatively* close to State College. Not too shabby of a schedule, overall.
