Penn State Wrestling Recruiting Update

Let's take a quick look at the top state and national recruiting lists.

With four new recent commits, eight of the top 25 Pennsylvania recruits are now off the board.  In the last week, #8 Patrick Duggan, #16 Jared Walker, #17 Dylan Reynolds, and #20 Andrew Dunn declared their college choices, doubling the count of signings.  None are headed to Penn State.

As we discussed last week, Penn State doesn't have many holes to address in this year's recruiting cycle.  And with only 9.9 scholarships, the math doesn't allow the brothers Sanderson to horde all of the PA talent.  But from a historical perspective, whether recruitniks believe this year's crop to be better or worse than another, it's a safe bet that anywhere from six to 10 of these recruits are future D1 All-Americans.
