For most, it was just a matter of time before Reid pulled the trigger for the Nittany Lions; his 247 Crystal Ball had been significantly trending towards Penn State for quite some time, and today's announcement simply made it official. He was getting a ton of love from programs all around the country, and though he was leaning blue and white, he made visits to Notre Dame and Michigan State recently, amongst others.

He's currently listed by many as the #2 player in the state of Pennsylvania, behind future teammate Sterling Jenkins, and a top 15 defensive back nationally.

Outlook:

Reid was a captain of his high school squad last year, as a junior, playing on both sides of the ball; he'll focus on the defensive side at the next level, though. He's already put on weight in the past few months, and will likely get even bigger in the coming months and years. Reid already runs a sub-4.5 forty and, according to the Philly.com article linked above, wants to major in Computer Science (obligatory #culture reference).

Reid brings Penn State's class of 2015 up to 19 commits, and back to fifth in the nation.
