MMQB: What Is Your Favorite "Penn State In The NFL" Moment?

New, comments

Yes, this was inspired by Garry Gilliam.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

If you watched Sunday's NFC Championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers, you witnessed former Penn State TE/OL Garry Gilliam score his first touchdown since high school. The Seahawks lined up for a field goal but ran a beautiful fake and punter Jon Ryan found Gilliam wide open for the Hawks' first touchdown of the game. Here's a video if you haven't seen it:

It was cool! Unless you're a Green Bay fan. In which case, sorry. =/

So this got me thinking: there have been a lot of Penn Staters in the NFL. A whole heck of a lot. There has to have been a play that was cooler than this, right? Let's jump right into the question portion of the post:

What is the coolest moment by a Penn Stater in the NFL? Was it Gilliam's touchdown grab on Sunday, or was it something else? We all agree that Nick is a taint and the Seahawks blow, correct?
