MMQB: Do you have a Favorite Super Bowl?

New, comments

With the big game fast approaching, let's take a trip down memory lane.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will suit up and face off for the NFL Championship, less than a week from today. Super Bowl XLIX, for those who are unfamiliar with roman numerals, will be the 49th installment of the game, after it was all started by a 35-10 victory for the Green Bay Packers over the Kansas City Chiefs on January 15, 1967. Since that day, there have been nearly 50 other games played to determine the undisputed champion of the National Football League. But which one has been your favorite?

Are there Patriots fans out there, like Bill, who still hold fond memories of one of the Patriots' dynasty Super Bowls?

Or perhaps you're a Dolphins fan, still hanging your hat on that magical, undefeated season.

I'm sure there are some Giants fans out there who have posters of David Tyree and Mario Manningham pulling down impossible catches on their way to beating the mighty Patriots.

I know for a fact that we have some Steelers fans here, so I'm sure that the toes of Santonio Holmes are still vividly tapping down in your mind.

There could be other Seahawks fans like me, who laughed during the entirety of Super Bowl XLVIII.

There could even be some self-hating Bill fans, like Dan, who can't stop watching replays of their four straight defeats.

So I ask you, readers, what is your favorite Super Bowl, and why? Was it because your favorite team was there? Was there a play you'll never forget? Will Bill and I kill each other before game time this upcoming weekend? Share your thoughts!
