Oh, Goodbye: DT Christian Colón De-Commits from Penn State

In extremely surprising and unforeseen news on Thursday night, 2016 DT Christian Colón has decided to de-commit from Penn State.

There is no word on exactly why Colón decided to back out of his commitment, but it seems to be a very strange situation. Colón was even set to enroll early at Penn State this winter.

Colón is a three star defensive tackle from Independence High School in North Carolina. Christian wasn't the highest rated recruit in Penn State's class, but was considered a very nice pick-up due to his size and his position. His recruitment initially came down to Penn State and North Carolina.

Colón released a statement on Twitter regarding his decision.

We won't speculate on what happened, but considering Christian's plans to enroll early, something must have gone awry somewhere along the line.

Colón is definitely a hit to the 2016 Penn State recruiting class, especially in regards to the defensive tackle depth, but one that we will likely see the staff remedy in the near future.

Good luck wherever you may end up, Christian. Penn State fans will be rooting for you. And know that you have impacted Penn State internet forever, with the introduction of 5b into our lives.
