Committany Nation (10.6.15): Jordan Fuller, Robert Hainsey and More

New, 29 comments

It was a quiet weekend, but we have crootin' news!

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

It has been somewhat quiet on the crootin' front since the big weekend of visitors last month for Rutgers. However, do not fret, faithful reader. In between starting rivalries and designing trophies, the BSD Recruiting staff has been hard at work to find you information to quench your recruiting news thirst.

Verbal Commitments Have Another Big Weekend

Penn State's Class of 2016 was in action around the country this past weekend with plenty of nice results. Lavert Hill lead the way with three interceptions and a receiving touchdown for Detroit King's victory over Cody. Jake Zembiec, Daniel Joseph, and Michal Menet also had strong performances. You can read about the entire weekend in a fantastic recap by Patrick Koerbler over at Lions247.

Very Important Lavert Hill News

He's still committed. To Penn State. To play football.

Jordan Fuller Trims His List

With 20 players verbally committed to the class of 2016, there are only a few names left that PSU has been closely linked to. Perhaps the biggest is Jordan Fuller, a 4-star athlete from Westwood, NJ. The fifth ranked player in New Jersey according to the 247 Composite announced his top-8, with Penn State making the cut.

Do not worry about the order, PSU fans. He clarified in his following tweet these schools are in no order. Best guess right now says this is a race between Ohio State, Notre Dame, and the Nittany Lions.

Robert Hainsey Getting Noticed

Monroeville, PA's own Robert Hainsey has relocated to Bradenton, FL and IMG Academy, and plenty of schools have taken notice of one of the country's top offensive line prospects in the 2017 cycle. He picked up his 17th offer yesterday.

I still expect Robert to end up a key part of PSU's 2017 class.

Connor McGovern is an All American

And not just because he has the best, most American name ever. Connor was honored at his high school on Monday evening with his U.S. Army All American Game jersey. McGovern will head to San Antonio early in 2016 to participate in the game (January 9th), before officially enrolling at Penn State a few days later. Sean Fitz has many more details over at Lions247.
