Penn State in the NFL (Week 9): Allen Robinson Visits, and Conquers, Revis Island

You cannot stop Allen Robinson. You can only hope to contain him.

Allen Robinson Went to Revis Island and Built his Own Private Resort

Penn State fans knew Allen Robinson was great. However, I'm not sure that even his most loyal Penn State fans knew how quickly he was going to become a top-10 NFL receiver (which, spoiler alert: he is).

On Sunday, the Jaguars took on the New York Jets. For most of the game, Darrell Revis was covering Robinson. However, that didn't matter much. A-Rob finished the day with 6 catches on 11 targets for 121 receiving yards, including this magnificent grab (although Robinson wasn't Revis' responsibility by the time the ball was delivered).

After the game concluded, the future Pro-Bowler and the budding superstar exchanged jerseys. It was the ultimate sign of respect from someone who has made a career of erasing number one receivers. Clearly he sees the potential of the former Nittany Lion star.

Sean Lee Leaves Due to Injury

Injuries are unfortunate no matter when or to whom they occur, but you can't help but feel extra sadness when Sean Lee picks up another injury. When healthy, he is arguably one of the very best middle linebackers in the entire NFL. Unfortunately, he just can't stay on the field. Hopefully he makes it back on the field again soon.

Michael Mauti Makes His First NFL Start

Michael Mauti has experienced quite a bit of success since joining the New Orleans Saints. First, he blocked, scooped and scored an attempted punt. Then, his hometown (Mandeville, LA) declared the day after said game "Michael Mauti Day". Now, he's had his first start, and he was outstanding.

The man who was once had statistics who were arguably more impressive than Heisman finalist Manti Te'o's is finally getting his true chance to shine in the National Football League. Do work, 42.
