Penn State in the NFL (Week 8): Wake Goes Down, Hodges Gets on the Field and More

Not the most exciting week, but another week nonetheless.

Andrew Innerarity-USA TODAY Sports

Cameron Wake Goes Down

Sad news out of Miami, as former Penn State pass rusher, Cameron/Derek Wake went down with a torn achilles, and will miss the rest of the season. It's a tough blow for a Miami team that went into the season thinking they had a truly dominant defensive line, mostly thanks to Wake and free agent addition Ndamukong Suh.

Linebacker U Together Again

Gerald Hodges registered his tackles as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, meaning that he and Bowman are now together on the same field, which is cool.

Aside from that, it was a pretty boring week in the NFL for our former Penn Staters, mostly thanks to Allen Robinson and Jaguars being on a bye.
