A fun trend has popped up one week before bowls are announced: aside from Mandel everyone kept their bowl locations the same, but a handful of Penn State's opponents changed. Palm went from Ole Miss to Georgia, McMurphy went from Utah to UCLA, and Schlabach went from Georgia to LSU in their respective projections, while Kirk and Bender kept things exactly the same. Mandel did the opposite of most of his colleagues: he changed his bowl (from Music City to TaxSlayer) but kept the opponent the same.
But still, it's far more interesting where these guys thing Penn State is going at this point. Again, we're only a few days away from bowl assignments coming out, and everyone save for Mandel has stood firm on which of the three bowls Penn State is eligible for they think the Nittany Lions will attend. It always would have been a shock for Penn State to go anywhere other than Nashville, Santa Clara, or Jacksonville, and right now it looks like the experts agree. As for which of those three Penn State is attending, well, let's just say that I haven't seen the Foster Farms Bowl or TaxSlayer bowl creeping in BSD's notifications on Tweetdeck.
what does it mean (it means i’m going to nashville is what it means) pic.twitter.com/UyMn6Vew5H

All joking aside, there probably wouldn't be much that could happen that would impact Penn State's bowl placement at this time. I guess we'll find out for certain where we're headed in a few days.
(but for real, holla at us, music city bowl)
