It's tournament time! Starting at 6pmET tonight, the NCAA will release all 10 championship brackets via live video. Preceding that (and, already underway), the NCAA publishes its finalized field of competitors for each weight class. This includes Wild Cards (at-large bids). At 2pmET, we'll learn if Kade Moss made the tournament; at 3pmET, Luke Frey (157); and at 3:30, have your fingers crossed for Garett Hammond (165).
Open thread is below. We'll update this post throughout the day as the NCAA trickles its info drop by drop.
UPDATE #1 - No Kade Moss at Nationals. The 141-lb wild cards went to Fisher (Michigan) and Rodriguez (Illinois), from the Big Ten. Rider's Chuck Zeisloft, who beat Moss just before Big Tens in PSU's last home dual, also made the field as an at-large.
UPDATE #2 - No Luke Frey at Nationals. Iowa's Mike Kelly, who beat Frey for 9th place, took the only Big Ten wild card.
UPDATE #3 - Guuuuhh. Stomach punch - no Garett Hammond at Nationals. Penn State will take only 7 wrestlers to the big dance, it's fewest of the Cael Sanderson tenure.
UPDATE #4 - Brackets released. All 7 Lions earn a seed.
