It's time to mark those calendars!

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

If you are one of the Nittany Lion fans who regularly make the pilgrimage to Happy Valley for a brief glimpse of football each spring, it's time to mark your calendars as Penn State has announced the next Blue-White Game will occur on April 16, 2016. The kickoff time has not been released, but according to the Athletic Department the game will begin early to mid-afternoon.

No other details have been released, but as usual you can expect a weekend of festivities throughout State College.

The 2015 Blue-White Game ended with the Blue squad defeating the White team by a score of 17-7. The game was somewhat of a disappointment with the notable absences of backup quarterback Trace McSorley and wide receiver DeAndre Thompkins. Both players are coming off redshirt seasons, and many fans were hoping to catch a glimpse to get a better understanding of the quarterback situation behind Christian Hackenberg as well as to finally witness the buzz that has been surrounding Thompkins all spring.

Anyways, clear your schedules for April 16, 2016 to check out the next batch of future stars James Franklin and company continue to stockpile on the roster.
