The Tale:

Michal Menet's journey to Penn State goes back to the summer before his sophomore season, when he attended his first PSU camp, run by Bill O'Brien. He earned his offer from O'Brien in September of 2013, and has spent significant time on campus over the last two years. The arrival of James Franklin only increased the attention from the Lions.

Duke emerged as PSU's primary competition earlier this winter, following a trip to Durham for a Blue Devils basketball game, and a strong visit put together by head coach David Cutcliffe. However, Menet returned to University Park twice later in the spring, his final reported campus vists, and had Penn State coaches stopping by several times at Exeter during the spring evaluation period.

Menet named the Lions and Blue Devils his top two on April 14th, leading up to today's announcement.

Outlook:

Michal is one of those unique offensive line prospects that could step in at any of the 5 spots along the line. While fellow 2016 prospect Connor McGovern projects as the center of the future, Menet could get a look there, but will almost certainly end up at tackle or guard. Menet possesses the perfect combination of a big body, and freak athleticism that makes college coaches drool.

While nothing is a sure thing, Menet is about as close to "can't miss" on the offensive line as you will find.
